Why Flower Packaging Demands
More Than Just a Container
Cannabis flower is living product. It degrades in response to humidity, oxygen, light, and physical handling — and every state requires child-resistant, odor-proof protection. Here's what your packaging must solve.
Moisture Control
Too dry = harsh smoke, degraded terpenes. Too wet = mold, product loss. Flower needs MVTR < 0.05 g/m²/day barrier to maintain 55-65% RH stability.
Oxygen Protection
Oxygen exposure degrades THC into CBN over time. OTR below 0.1 cc/m²/day is the benchmark for preserving potency across a 6-12 month shelf life.
UV Protection
UV radiation accelerates cannabinoid degradation by up to 20% in clear packaging. Opaque barriers, amber glass, and foil laminates are non-negotiable for long-term storage.
Odor & Compliance
Terpenes are your product's signature — but they can't escape the package. CR certification (ASTM D3475), tamper-evident seals, and odor-proof barriers are regulatory must-haves.

Not Just a Supplier —
Your Flower Packaging Engineering Partner
Flower packaging isn't about picking products from a catalog — it's about solving real production physics, navigating multi-state compliance, and building a system that scales with your brand. Here's what makes Lekas fundamentally different.
10 Years of Flower-Specific Engineering
A Decade of Flower-Specific Packaging Engineering. Every product we ship carries a decade of accumulated troubleshooting — problems you'll never need to experience.

What This Means for Your Business
When you move from piecemeal sourcing to an integrated packaging partner, the benefits cascade through your entire operation.
Faster Time-to-Market
One design team, one project manager, one QC process. Eliminate the coordination delays of juggling multiple vendors. From artwork approval to delivered packaging: 2-3 weeks.
Lower Total Cost of Packaging
Direct factory sourcing eliminates 15-30% trading-company markup. Consolidated logistics reduce per-unit freight costs. And integrated QC prevents expensive rework from compliance failures.
Brand Consistency Across Formats
When your Mylar bags, glass jars, and retail boxes all come from one partner, your brand color matching, print quality, and finishing are consistent across every packaging touchpoint.
Simplified Supply Chain
One partner, one PO, one shipment, one customs clearance. Reduce your vendor management overhead from 5 suppliers to 1 — freeing your team to focus on growing the business.
Reduced Compliance Risk
Every batch ships with ASTM D3475 test documentation and batch-level QC reports. If a state inspector asks for CR certification, you have it ready — no scrambling, no compliance gaps.
Scalable for Growth
Start with 1,000-unit pilot runs to test the market. Scale to 50,000+ units as your brand grows — same quality, same partner, same direct-from-factory pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What packaging formats do I need for cannabis flower?
The optimal flower packaging strategy typically combines multiple formats: Mylar barrier bags for primary containment (moisture + oxygen + odor control), glass or plastic jars for premium retail presentation, and custom boxes for brand differentiation and multi-unit retail. The exact combination depends on your product tier, target market, and distribution channel. Our team helps you select the right mix — not just sell you individual SKUs.
Are your packaging products child-resistant (CR) certified?
Yes. Our CR-certified products meet ASTM D3475 and 16 CFR 1700 child-resistant packaging standards, which satisfy the requirements of all U.S. state cannabis regulations (CA, CO, OR, WA, NY, MI, IL, MA, and others). Each production batch ships with a certificate of compliance and ASTM test documentation.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Standard MOQ for custom printed packaging starts at 1,000-5,000 units per SKU, depending on the format. For stock/unprinted items, there is no minimum. We offer pilot runs of 1,000-3,000 units for new brands testing the market. Mylar bags have the most flexible MOQ due to digital printing capabilities.
How long does production and delivery take?
Sampling: 72 hours after artwork approval. Production: 2-3 weeks for standard orders, 1-2 weeks for rush orders (rush fee applies). Ocean freight: 15-25 days to U.S. West Coast ports. Air freight: 5-7 days. We offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) door-to-door service that handles customs clearance and last-mile delivery.
Can you help with packaging design and artwork?
Absolutely. Our in-house design team provides free dieline creation, 3D digital mockups, and structural design support. We can work from your existing artwork files or help you develop new packaging designs. Pre-production physical samples are available for review before mass production begins.
How do you ensure consistent quality across production batches?
Quality control is built into our factory-direct model. Each production batch undergoes: incoming material inspection, in-process QC checks, CR mechanism function testing, print quality and color matching verification, and final pre-shipment inspection. All results are documented in a batch-level QC report shipped with every order.
