Pre-roll packaging involves fundamentally different engineering: CR mechanisms specific to pre-roll formats (slider tins, child-resistant boxes), multi-pack insert trays requiring ±0.3mm precision, and compliance with category-specific CR regulations that change faster than flower packaging rules. Pre-roll packaging is an outer container system — tube/cone manufacturing is a separate category.
Are your pre-roll packages child-resistant (CR) certified?
Yes. All CR-certified pre-roll products meet ASTM D3475 and 16 CFR 1700 child-resistant packaging standards, satisfying the requirements of all U.S. state cannabis regulations. Each production batch ships with a certificate of compliance and ASTM test documentation. We also track state-specific changes — such as Ohio's 2026 slide-lock tube ban — and advise on format selection accordingly.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) for pre-roll packaging?
Standard MOQ for custom printed pre-roll packaging starts at 1,000-5,000 units per SKU, depending on the format. Multi-pack boxes have the most flexible MOQ due to our in-house digital die-cutting capabilities. We offer pilot runs of 1,000-3,000 units for new brands testing the market — produced on the same production lines as our large-volume orders. For stock/unprinted items, there is no minimum.
How long does production and delivery take?
Sampling: 72 hours after artwork approval. Production: 2-3 weeks for standard orders, 1-2 weeks for rush orders. Ocean freight: 15-25 days to U.S. West Coast ports. Air freight: 5-7 days. We offer DDP door-to-door service with customs clearance and last-mile delivery included.
Do you manufacture pre-roll cones or tubes?
No — Lekas specializes in outer packaging for pre-rolls: multi-pack boxes, mylar pouches, tins, and jars that hold pre-rolled cones. Cones and tubes are separate manufactured products. We can recommend cone/tube suppliers from our network, but our core offering is the packaging system that contains and presents them.
How do you ensure pre-rolls don't break during shipping?
Insert tray engineering is central to our pre-roll packaging design. We test insert fit across multiple cone sizes, verify tolerance at ±0.3mm, and conduct drop-test validation before mass production. The outer packaging is designed to distribute impact force away from product contact points.
